The University of Bertoua
Established by presidential decree in January 2022, the University of Bertoua (UBe) is one of Cameroon's eleven state universities. It integrates several pre-existing specialized schools and faculties in the East Region, including the Higher Teacher Training College (ENS) of Bertoua and the Higher Institute of Agriculture, Wood, Water, and Environment (ISABEE) in Bélabo. The university offers a wide range of bachelor's, master's, and doctoral programs designed to meet the regional and national socio-economic needs, particularly in agriculture, mining, urban planning, and education.

Tuition
- Tuition: XAF 50,000 to 800,000 per year
- CEMAC citizens: 50,000 XAF/year statutory fee; foreign students: 600,000–800,000 XAF/year.
