Tuition

A FUNDING ROUTE UNIQUE TO THIS INSTITUTION AND WORTH PURSUING: MoCU exists to serve the co-operative sector, and Tanzania's co-operative unions have historically funded staff training. If you work for, or are connected to, a co-operative or SACCOS, ask whether it sponsors MoCU study — this is plausible, potentially significant, and almost certainly not advertised through general channels. Note too that MoCU teaches from CERTIFICATE through PhD, so entering at certificate or diploma level costs less than direct degree entry and lets you progress. Add the TZS 20,000 annual TCU quality assurance fee. Moshi living costs are well below Dar es Salaam.
Admissions
- MoCU OFFERS THE FULL QUALIFICATION LADDER — certificate, diploma, degree, masters and PhD — which means there is an entry point even without ACSEE principal passes, and you can progress upward from below. That is a genuine access advantage over universities admitting only at degree level.
- DIRECT ENTRY to a degree: two ACSEE principal passes at E or above totalling 4.0 points. The Ordinary Diploma / NTA Level 6 equivalent-entry route also applies.
- IF APPLYING FOR AN ACCOUNTANCY OR BUSINESS PROGRAMME: ask whether it carries National Board of Accountants and Auditors (NBAA) recognition and what professional exemptions it earns you.
- Apply DIRECTLY to the university; Tanzania has no central placement body.
