The Adventist University of Africa is a private chartered university at Ongata Rongai near Nairobi, operating under the Commission for University Education. It is POSTGRADUATE ONLY, offering master's and doctoral programmes in theology, business and leadership, and serves the Seventh-day Adventist church network across the continent.

THE FUNDING ROUTE THAT MATTERS HERE IS PROBABLY NOT KENYAN: as a pan-African institution serving the Seventh-day Adventist Church, most of its students are likely to be non-Kenyan and therefore outside HELB entirely, while church sponsorship — common for students entering ministry or church administration — is likely the primary source. Ask about Seventh-day Adventist Church sponsorship first. BEFORE ANY OF THAT, establish AUA's Kenyan accreditation status and which entity awards the degree: it operates in Kenya but serves a continental church constituency, and whether its degrees are CUE-registered Kenyan qualifications determines their recognition entirely. - Establish whether AUA admits students OUTSIDE the Seventh-day Adventist Church — this was not determined and is material if you are not a member.
- Ask for the current programme list. For a postgraduate-only institution the programme list is the entire proposition, and none was retrievable.
- Ask about delivery mode: a continental student body makes distance or intensive residential block teaching likely, which changes the practical proposition completely.
